We started the New Year by having some eggs and pancakes together. While eating I got to reminiscing with Daddy about how .... 5 years ago on this day, about 2 hours before we had company we took the wall in our kitchen and made it a half wall. Back to present day, I turned and said, let's take it down. Daddy was pretty hesitant (which he usually is when I get these "fly by the seat of my pants" ideas) - - so after trying to get out of it, he went into the attic, shut the electricity, did some wiring, and boom, those wires you see sticking out of the half wall, we assumed were dead (despite what our little electricity tester said).
And folks, our half wall is down.
We are toying with the idea of having 2011 be the year we redo the kitchen, after all we have only a light above the sink (which is a nightlight) for light (the one on the microwave has blown), four out of five burners on the stove work, the freezer doesn't close and leaks, and ... well have you see our wall above :-) Oh yes, no molding around the kitchen window (nor stained) - so we are toying with the idea, I guess check back in to see what we decide :-)
But we can't let a little kitchen talk get in the way of our true - last minute - destination - AND AS IF YOU HAD TO ASK: GRANDMA'S house!!!!
As soon as we got there from our 2 hour trip - SLEIGH RIDING!
When Gramps finally came in Chloe May was tickled to play with him
Dare I say Chloe May is finally warming up to ::

and yes, it has been alot of traveling in a short time - only one more trip left - -
