Salt Dough & Santa

With one week to go until St. Nick arrives, we took the day off from our holiday hustle and bustle, to enjoy making some salt dough ornaments -

Daddy and Matteo making some candy canes.....

What else can we do after putting the ornaments in the oven, but take photos of each other?

All the morning excitement wore out our Dolly

viola! Memo to self: next year do not use food coloring, because what they look like going in, 90 minutes later THEY DO NOT look like coming out :-) But alas fun was had by all!

Please note Chloe May's handprint, two letters for our nursery school teachers, a "dolly" for Chloe from Matteo, a present for Matteo from Chloe May - an angel by Matteo.

Boy I'm hungry, let's eat lunch......... but wait, what do I hear - - sirens - - jingle bells- - surely it can't be, it never has been, well by Golly a true Christmas miracle, St. Nick himself is IN FRONT OF OUR HOUSE!!!!

Yes dear Followers, for the first time ever since we have lived on the Lane - Santa came to our street - and passed our house! Well no 20+ degree weather is going to keep us inside - we are out there (sans shoes and socks - please don't tell Grandma!) - and all smiles -

and giving a nod and a wave he was gone in a flash

but not before leaving behind a little surprise for all!

And then because I needed some red tights for our Dolly, we headed down port late day and spent some time on the local beach:

check back in 16 weeks, we're sure to be in our shorts on this beach! :-) But for now we're enjoying the last few days of Fall!
