Another day, another evaluation.
Today we had Matteo's OT evaluation. The evaluator concluded (surprise surprise), Matteo is a very gross motor skilled child (likes running and jumping, etc.). She said he could use improvement on his ability to write/hold a pencil but honestly until about 3 weeks ago Matteo had little to no interest in coloring (as I would imagine most gross motor skilled children do not). She also said that while Matteo does excite very easily, he does not get overly excited as I felt he might. Then again I really only have a handful of children to compare him to - but she said no he is average. She did say - which I found ironic - that he should qualify for OT based on his writing, but since that is all he will likely qualify for, he would not be entitled to the service. Apparently if you need OT you have to be in need of something else. ..... Okay ..... Other than that she said Matteo is very bright and outgoing (both of which he gets from me - - ahhaha).
Now Ms. Chloe May and her sudden tantrums - well that is all Jules hahah.
Also Matteo was evaluated at school today (through all this let me point out he knows none of why he is playing all these "games" with the individuals or that he is being looked at. The evaluator did call to tell me Matteo is very social, can relay a story and that he listens and participates.
So today ended all of the evaluations with respect to Matteo - - and while informative, I did find them to be a bit emotionally draining. Just having another place to go - for no less than 60 minutes (sometimes 90), countless questionnaires, talking to people, scheduling appointments and returning phone calls, well to be honest, it's all very tiring. So if Chloe May should ever need services/evaluations like this, JULES is taking her, which is a hoot because the first question is usually DOB and he forgets is it: 8/7 or 8/3! Oh Daddy! (well you see she was born on 8/3, weighing 8-3 at 8:07 - if only she came out on the second to last contraction!).
Ohhh nooo tantrums already, Good Luck with that!!!
