Character Breakfast

Why so holidayed up?

Well for the past 3 or 4 years we have been enjoying our semi-local CHARACTER BREAKFAST!  And when I say no one in this house looks forward to this more than Mommy, that is no exaggeration - - I go up to all the characters, give them hugs, smile for pictures and well - - just read:

Matteo wanted his face painted - so he requested anything "gross or disgusting" - and we settled on a fire breathing worm that was bleeding - after all it is the holidays :-)

Though Santa was in the school, the line was so long, we settled for talking to Mrs. Claus.

We trailed the Cat in the Hat until we finally caught up to him and took a picture!

And finally the Magic show!  As in the past, Matteo took a picture with the snake around his neck.

Even Chloe May got in on the action!

And then the man needed a volunteer for a trick, so he called upon Matteo!  See videos below.

And in the end, Matteo decided he didn't want to do the trick - for which I was very proud of him for - saying no in front of a decent size audience.  So he walked away - Jules & I agreed we were proud he had the courage to just go up there :-)

 

The last trick was reserved for a little girl who decided he didn't want to do it, so once again Matteo was asked to participate - which he was more than happy to do!

The floating person trick.

Matteo did indeed do this trick - however at the end when he kept picking up his head, I went up to talk to him and the chairs were pulled out and though I didn't capture it on video, Daddy confirmed Matteo was floating.  This  year's character breakfast was so extra special with all the participation from Matteo - even at the puppet show I heard the man saying to Matteo, "Yes, I remember you from last year."  And indeed folks, we will be back next year :-)  By far the character breakfast is one of the highlights for this Family of 4 every Holiday Season.
