Birthday III

And alas the long awaited box cake was served - (ice cream cake too). Though wearing white I didn't mind that Chloe took and stuck her fingers in the cake (I did however frown upon Matteo sticking his tongue in the cake).

Our little family -

A picture with some of our friends -

And Chloe May sat in this position for I kid you not about 2-3 minutes before I finally picked her up and she almost passed out!!

Now that is what I call a party.
Before I go, let me tell you about the food: appetizers were two dips with chips and pretezels and veggies (thank you Daddy for cutting those up). For lunch was finger sandwiches (very lady like and kid friendly) and salads whicch were prepared by many people (yum!). Dessert was cookies courtesy of Aunt Lois, Grandma and of couse ice cream cake by Mommy and box cake by Mommy. Ran out of beer (we had 30 - who would have thought!) - and soda and water in pitchers. I try to gear my parties towards the intended crowd, in this case: toddlers - though we did invite some older neighbors. Our family traveled from far though one person was sadly noticeably absent and our friends ranged from nursing friends, to library friends to I just met you last week and we like you that much friends (though again one family was noticeably absent). Of the two ladies that could not make the party, I would like you to know, I thought of you often and thank you for the last year you have contributed to our life - and we look forward to celebrating with you next year!!!

And so.......

LET THE AFTER PARTY BEGIN!!! That's right, we had about 3 families stay and additional 2 hours, so we bought out more desserts and enjoyed some more festivies...and finally

when we just couldn't stand anymore everyone left at 8:30 PM!!! What a great party, too bad my Dolly will never remember it :-) haha.

Good night.
