Daily posts (almost) of our life here on the Lane.
If we keep it simple, laugh frequently and smile often, our day was a successful one.

well except Matteo, who keeps going and going and going...notice his new pjs courtesy of Auntie and kids.
and notice our new addition...spotty(?). After much asking (and i mean much) Andrew allowed Matteo the courtesy of taking "spotty" home for a bit. Great just what Mom wanted another dog. Don't worry Andrew we will feed him, walk him and love him daily and return him come Christmas :-)..unless of course you desire him sooner. THANKS FOR SHARING.

Thanks for the chat Amy, nice to know I'm not alone out there - - however my blogs will TRY to continue to focus on the positive of each day.

Would have had a longer video, but didn't want a noisy Chloe to wake matteo...anyway enjoy the video. if you notice, the garbage truck is moving back and forth on Matteo as he sleeps. Not sure how he can fall asleep like that, but to each his own :-)

7 years!
Blogged by:

Sunday here on the Island, was a much better day.
It started with a family breakfast of bagels that Grandma bought the day before as today was our Anniversary.
Daddy got Mommy some flowers and a card :-)
mmmm.....7 years....isn't Daddy lucky :-) haha.
Then we spent the morning working on leaves...and by "we" I mean "Daddy". Mommy socialized with all of the neighborhood kids that always gravitate towards our home and stay for a while. Aren't impromptu playdates the best.

My heart is broken

Well Dear Bloggers, Saturday was not an easy day by any means here on Tall Tree.
The day started with Matteo and Daddy cleaning the gutters (yes the leaf bags are piling up behind daddy there).

Then Grandma, Gramps and Kimmy came for a visit
And later in the day mommy's heart broke into more pieces than I can count as I had to give up my car and Daddy got us a minivan (I probably sound horrible that I didn't want one - but on the other side of the coin, I never want anything new - which is very cost effective for Daddy). You see Mommy's car needed new tires and some work, so rather than invest a little, Daddy thought it best to upgrade (as my car can't fit another person and it was small)..... so yes, Mommy spent Saturday night crying and crying - - I do know there are worse "problems" to have..... but that car was more than a car to me, so I'm allowed to cry.

Dryer fun
Blogged by:
ellissa
And oh as if the library wasn't fun enough already - Matteo enjoys after we wash our hands using the dryer (as if it could dry his hands from the distance he stands from it!).
HOWEVER, I WARN YOU: if you dare push the button - as opposed to Matteo - he will howl for quite some time (pretty much until the dryer stops - at which point he will push the button). Oh yes, that is right folks, Matteo is very much into "I do it." For instance, if you turn on the light while he is in the process of calling "i'll do it." He will turn off the light that you turned on just to RE-turn it on. And if you get a dog bone for the dog out of the box and hand it to him, he will RETURN the dog bone to the box andd then proceed to take it out to give it to the bone. Yes, indeed Matteo is growing up and all about doing things himself. So imagine his utter frustration when we go to BRU the other day and the dryer does not have a button to push, rather automatically turns on when you put your hands underneath :-) Mommy just thought it best to walk out. haha.
And yes, sometimes Matteo too will dry his hair with the dryer, see below.

HAPPY 3 MONTHS CHLOE MAY :-)
that old cliche is very true, time flies when you are having fun :-) and with two children, life certainly is fun.
Also thank you Daddy and Matteo for installing our new mailbox - which Daddy got me for our anniversary this coming weekend - 7 years - but more about that Sunday.
